Piedmont SME digitalization voucher 2026

The Voucher digitalizzazione PMI 2026 covers 50% to 65% of digitalization costs (business software, cloud, AI in business processes and the other technologies listed in the call), plus the bonuses the call provides. Who can apply, what it covers, the deadlines, and the mistakes that cost you the grant.

The short answer

The Voucher digitalizzazione PMI 2026 is a non-repayable grant from Unioncamere Piemonte and the Piedmont Region for micro, small and medium-sized businesses with a registered office or operating site in Piedmont, Italy. It covers 65% of eligible costs for micro businesses, 60% for small and 50% for medium-sized ones, with a voucher from €4,000 (micro) or €5,000 (small and medium) up to €25,000. Applications go through the ReStart platform (in Italian only, like the call) from 11:00 a.m. on October 22 to 4:00 p.m. on December 15, 2026, first come, first served, while funds last. Only costs incurred after you apply are eligible.

Who can apply

Micro, small and medium-sized businesses under the EU definition (Regulation (EU) 651/2014), which also covers self-employed professionals. Requirements apply on the date you apply:

  • a registered office or operating site in Piedmont, active, where the project takes place;
  • an eligible ATECO (industry) code (listed in Annex 1 of the call);
  • Chamber of Commerce annual fee paid for the last three years, if you are in the Business Register: over €100 unpaid and the application is rejected;
  • a clean DURC (social security compliance) and, where mandatory, natural catastrophe insurance;
  • no voucher received in 2023 or 2024 from Unioncamere Piemonte;
  • one application per business: a second one counts only after a rejection or a formal withdrawal.

How much it's worth

65% for micro businesses, 60% for small, 50% for medium-sized. The voucher runs from €4,000 (micro) or €5,000 (small and medium) up to €25,000 for everyone. It is "de minimis" aid: it adds up with similar aid received in the last three years, which is capped. Rates go up in two cases:

  • joint projects of 3 to 20 businesses backed by an aggregator (Digital Innovation Hub, competence center, certified incubator, business network and others), which must include digitalization training, get a bonus;
  • extra points: +1 for one of legality rating, women-led or youth-led business, gender equality certification, innovative startup or SME; +2 at most for more than one.

Eligible costs

The project must involve at least one technology listed in the call. Those closest to business software: cloud; ERP, MES, PLM, SCM and barcode or RFID tracking; CRM; big data and analytics; generative AI applied to business processes; AI for language and document automation. For each cost, the application must name the technology and the supplier, or it is rejected.

  • Capital goods and services, including software and licenses.
  • Consulting and training on the same technologies: together, at most 30% of eligible costs.
  • Subscriptions, licenses and fees: two years at most.
  • Not eligible, among others: staff, overheads, deductible VAT, used or leased goods, purchases under €500, advertising, work by companies linked to yours through owners or directors.

Deadlines and how to apply

Online only, on InfoCamere's ReStart platform (in Italian), from 11:00 a.m. on October 22, 2026 to 4:00 p.m. on December 15, 2026. Documents can be pre-loaded from October 12, but pre-loading doesn't affect your place in line. The legal representative or an appointed intermediary submits it. Main attachments:

  • application form (Annex A) with a €16 revenue stamp;
  • cost statement (Annex B) with the quotes: a cost without a quote is struck out;
  • SELFI4.0 digital self-assessment report from the last 12 months;
  • DNSH environmental statement (Annex E); every file digitally signed (.p7m).

Mistakes that cost you the grant

These are rules of the call, not formalities.

  • Spending before you apply. Only later costs count: apply first, then order and pay.
  • Waiting until December. It's first come, first served and can close early: Unioncamere Piemonte may suspend it once applications exceed 120% of the funds (€19.2 million) and close it when they run out.
  • Invoices without a CUP. After the award, every invoice must carry the project code (CUP; before that, the application code).
  • Paying in cash, even partly: the whole cost becomes ineligible.
  • Reporting less than 70% of the declared costs, or later than 6 months after the award: the grant is revoked in full.

How AM Innovation helps

AM Innovation builds custom business software for SMEs and is based in Scarnafigi (CN), Piedmont. Software falls under capital goods and services, whose suppliers face no specific requirements under the call; consulting and training have their own supplier requirements, to be checked case by case. Which costs are eligible and whether the application is approved is up to Unioncamere Piemonte's review: no one can guarantee it in advance. What we do:

  • a free prototype of the business software, to settle what to build before putting a number on the quote;
  • the quote to attach to the application, with each item tied to the technology in the call it refers to;
  • help filling in the application on ReStart, so it goes in before any spending;
  • building the software after you apply, with invoices carrying the application code and then the CUP.

Status of the call

Last checked: October 18, 2026. The window is not open yet: applications open at 11:00 a.m. on October 22, 2026; pre-loading on ReStart has been possible since October 12. The facts come from the text of the call dated July 17, 2026. Before applying, check Unioncamere Piemonte's website for suspensions or early closures.

Voucher FAQ

Yes, if the project involves at least one technology listed in the call, such as ERP, CRM, cloud, big data or AI applied to business processes. Software falls under capital goods and services; the application must state the technology for each cost, with the supplier's quote. Whether each item is eligible is decided by the review.

No. The call only accepts costs incurred after the application is submitted: earlier costs stay out.

€25,000, for any company size. The voucher covers 65% of eligible costs for a micro business, 60% for a small one and 50% for a medium-sized one, plus any bonuses. The minimum is €4,000 (micro) or €5,000 (small and medium), meaning at least €6,153.85, €8,333.33 or €10,000 in costs.

Yes, with an office or operating site in Piedmont and an eligible ATECO code: the call uses the EU definition of a business, which includes professional activities. The Chamber of Commerce fee only matters if you must be in the Business Register.

No. The 2026 call excludes anyone who received grants under Unioncamere Piemonte's "Voucher digitalizzazione PMI 2023" and "2024" calls.

On ReStart, from 11:00 a.m. on October 22 to 4:00 p.m. on December 15, 2026. It's first come, first served and may close early if funds run out: apply as soon as your project and quotes are ready, and always before spending.

It has to be checked case by case. For consulting and training, the call requires the supplier to fall into specific categories (Digital Innovation Hubs, competence centers, innovation managers listed by Unioncamere, or suppliers active for at least a year with three documented projects in the last three years). For software, the call sets no specific supplier requirements. Consulting and training together cannot exceed 30% of costs.

After the project. The review closes within 120 days of the window closing; then costs are reported in a single submission within 6 months of the award, and the grant is paid within 60 days of it. So the business pays the costs up front.

Prototype first, then the quote

Describe your process in the wizard and get a clickable prototype of your business software. It's free, so it isn't a cost to report, and it gives you a concrete basis for the quote you attach to the application.
